Little Buddy Information

Please check back in early 2020 for more information on Robin & Mani’s 6th Annual All Buddy Camp!

Camp

The camp itself is such a tremendous gift to the special needs community, and we are so grateful for the opportunity for our Little Buddy to enjoy a week of Summer fun... We are so thankful for the abundance of opportunities this beautiful city of ours provides.
— Parent of Little Buddy

Where: To be determined
When: Camp will run one week in June 2020 from 8:30-12:30. There is an ice cream social and meet and greet the Friday before camp.

Robin Aldridge was a long time special education teacher, advocate and friend. Her daughter Mani, a student at CHS, loved the arts – drawing, dance, music, and drama. In their honor, Charlottesville and Albemarle County Parks and Recreation have partnered to provide a week-long summer camp for 4-5 year old students with disabilities.

Robin and Mani’s All Buddy Camp will help participants build self-esteem, develop better social skills and self-expression, make and maintain friendships, and improve fine and gross motor skills by partnering preschool students with disabilities with local high school students as ‘buddies’ in a holistic program centered on the creative arts, fun, and field trips.
